We are tight on space so we are getting rid of a lot of bikes and parts. Pick up a frame, wheels, seat, etc. cheap!
The Bikery will also be open during the sale if you want to install your new purchases onto your bike right away.
We even have a couple bikes that are nearly complete, and a brand new bike in a box that just needs to be put together.
Saturday October 18th
9 am – 2 pm
In front of the Bikery – Look for us with lots of bikes and parts on the sidewalk in front of our shop (Victory blvd 1 block east of Van Nuys)
There will be a BAKE SALE too! What would the Bikery be without Biked goods and Baked goods :)

Our Monday evening shift has moved to Wednesday evenings. Same time, same volunteer, different day.
New hours: Wednesdays, 5-8pm, with Clarke!
See you there
Join us and LACBC as we celebrate International Car-free day tomorrow, Sunday September 21st! We will start out with Yocycle and then meet LACBC’s Valley Ambassador’s ride for a drink at MacLeod’s Brewery near the Bikery.
Our Yocycle ride leaves the Bikery at 9:30 am and yoga class begins here at Lake Balboa park around 10:15 am. We will arrive at MacLeod’s around noon. Feel free to meet up with us at any point!
One of the Bikery’s new volunteers, Michelle, is putting on a bike ride to raise money for communities still struggling in Tohoku, Japan in the aftermath of their big earthquake. Come out and enjoy a fun ride by the beach while supporting a great cause!
Tour pour Tohoku
The ride is free, though donations to JEN, an NGO helping with disaster relief in Tohoku, are encouraged. There will also be a raffle for a bike + stand time at the Bikery!
From Metro’s The Source:
Metro is leading a regional effort to develop a user-friendly bikeshare system to increase transportation choices for people traveling to and from transit stations and making short trips. The program will provide a fleet of bicycles that can be borrowed from strategically placed bikeshare stations.
Metro is currently studying station locations in the Regional Bikeshare Implementation Plan and seeking input on areas identified for Phase 1 implementation: downtown Los Angeles, Long Beach, Pasadena and Santa Monica.
Metro has proposed a number of initial launch stations. Let them know what you think of these locations by clicking ‘like’ or leaving a comment. If you know of a great spot for a bikeshare station, pin it on the map.
With your help, Los Angeles County will be one step closer to a regional bikeshare system. Please visit the interactive map to make your station suggestions. Input will be accepted through September 8. For more information or to provide feedback, send an email to Bikeshare@metro.net.
